Obama announced his rejection of the application for the disastrous XL Keystone Pipeline. He had to make a decision by February because of a requirement added into the deficit compromise last year by Republicans. Had Obama been allowed to wait to decide until after November 2012, he no doubt would have approved it once he was reelected. Yet there was no way he could approve such a disaster with one more election coming up, so I say, thank you GOP, thank you for making Obama decide early even though you knew he would have an easy excuse to reject it of too little time to review it. For once, your election strategy helped the planet.
